LOUISVILLE, KY (October 10, 2019) – After seven months of mentorship and growth-focused business workshops, Endeavor celebrated the conclusion of its first Scale Up program in the Midwest. The program, which launched in March of 2019 with professional services firm Ernst & Young LLP (EY), is designed to provide support and mentorship to a carefully-selected group of high-potential entrepreneurs in the Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio region.
About the Scale Up Program
Through Scale Up, current Endeavor entrepreneurs and mentors strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem by mentoring Scale Up entrepreneurs who are just a few stages behind them in their business ventures. The first cohort of Scale Up entrepreneurs included 12 entrepreneurs from six regional companies: Autymate, Costello, FreshFry, Space Tango, TRIM, and Untitled Firm. The program consists of mentor matching, six targeted mentoring sessions, EY Business Clinic counseling and 7 Drivers of Growth analysis that help identify entrepreneurial goals and develop a strategic plan, a mock Endeavor Local Selection Panel, and a closing event to celebrate the regional entrepreneur’s work. The end goal of Scale Up is to accelerate the growth of high-potential entrepreneur-led businesses and further Endeavor’s mission of scaling up, going big, and giving back.
Endeavor 2019 Mock Selection Panel & Celebration
The Scale Up Mock Selection Panel served as the wrap-up event for the inaugural Scale Up program in Louisville. Two Endeavor Entrepreneurs, 10 regional Endeavor Mentors, and three members of the EY team came together to host a mock-up Local Selection Panel for the Scale Up entrepreneurs, complete with interviews and in-depth feedback. This final event aimed to prepare the Scale Up entrepreneurs for future Endeavor Selection Panels while improving their business strategy as a whole. The festivities ended with the Scale Up Celebration at Old Forester Distillery. Scale Up entrepreneurs, Endeavor entrepreneurs, regional mentors, investors, and supporters convened to celebrate high-impact entrepreneurs and the collective acceleration of the entrepreneur-led economy. “EY has provided a great road map for traversing both short- and long-term business hurdles, and the Scale Up program orchestrated by Endeavor will be influential to Untitled for years to come” said Aaron Peabody, co-founder of Untitled Firm and Scale Up Entrepreneur. Endeavor will begin accepting applications for Scale Up 2020 from regional entrepreneurs later this year.
