On October 19th, 2017, Endeavor Entrepreneur led company Globant (GLOB) convened friends, business partners, and thought leaders from around the world for their annual technology conference, ConVerge. ConVerge was held at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) where Globant successfully IPOed in 2014. Globant is a software and digital services business led by Endeavor Entrepreneurs Martin Migoya, CEO, and Guibert Englebienne, CTO. Endeavor Mentor Chris Pierce, who is a Managing Partner with Globant, extended an invitation to our Louisville office.
Attendees included the leaders of JP Morgan, Warner Brothers, P&G, and many more. A particularly interesting insight from the innovation leaders of these large companies was that, “technology in many instances is ahead of business models.” While this imbalance is creating friction for incumbents, it is also building opportunity for entrepreneurs to align new technology with new business models.
Endeavor, of course, was highly visible throughout the event. A highlight included a fireside chat with Endeavor co-founder & CEO, Linda Rottenberg. Rottenberg shared stories speaking to the power of entrepreneur networks a
nd the multiplier effect.
The walls at ConVerge were adorned with banners that read, “Stay Relevant” as recognition that in a highly dynamic world, one can’t rest on yesterday’s success; one must look forward. Louisville was thrilled to participate and engage with Globant, P&G’s innovation team, and thought leaders from around the world and to not only learn from them, but also to share the growth Endeavor is seeing in our region’s high-impact entrepreneurial community. Louisville entrepreneurs are staying very relevant.
